A Gift to All Who Enter
I spent two months at Ananda Ashram:

and I found Peace and My "Self" on so many levels.

I did work study--Karma Yoga working in the kitchen and office. It was a pleasure to serve the ashram and grow so much.

There is Fire Ceremony 2 X a day and I learned how to do the fire ceremony. I still chant the mantras!
There is medtiation following the fire ceremony ( I was and am now able to medtiate so naturally!!!!)

There is a wonderful chanting and lectures on many beautiful scriptures including Bhagavad Gita and Atma Bodhi.

The Yoga is Amazing--there are several different teachers and several different styles but they all incorporate the 8 limbs so beautifully.

The scenery is breathtaking! There are multiple hiking trails, a lake with a canoe, sterling forest and appalachian trail are nearby. Plus Catskill and other mountains, Arrow Park, and a Bird Observatory.

There is Kirtan every sunday Night--anyone is welcome!

The special programs are Incredible!

The people are great-- so much sharing, learning and friendships.

I could go on and on......

Om Shantih Shantih Shantih
