Music to learn from
The Trapps, named after the local climbing spot here in the Gunks, is just as interesting and beautiful as it's namesake. They put out all original Ballads and Rock n Roll that can leave you feeling like you've just led your first climb, or like you're stranded on the cliff face searching for your next handhold. The Trapps frontman Sean Schenker composes interesting music and backs it with thought provoking lyrics delving into the immortal subjects of parenthood, death, peace, recovery, joy and life, to name a few. Their music can have the entire pit dancing, as they did when opening for Blues Traveller, or leave the audience in contemplative silence trying to incorporate the messages they've just received. I encourage anyone wanting to hear some good music that embraces the philosophy of the original Rock n Roll masters to catch a Trapps Show. If you have a heart, mind or body you shouldn't be disapointed.
