Dear Friend,
I would like to share with you this exciting opportunity for women to heal themselves and pass it forward! We, as women, need to get back into our bodies and what makes us whole on an individual level. Through healing workshops, women's circles, and celebrations, we are accomplishing this mission. The following is information about an upcoming workshop and how you can help.
Be Wild Woman, the organization I founded to empower women, is hosting a Healing the Womb Benefit Workshop on February 8th (6:30pm-8:30pm) to raise funds for V-Day’s production of the Vagina Monologues. I am very pleased to be offering you, or women you know, this evening of powerful healing work while simultaneously, garnering financial support for the healing of other women in need. All proceeds from this production, including the money we raise on February 8th, will be donated to V-Day’s local efforts in NYC to help end violence against women and girls.
How can you help? We are looking for volunteers to promote the Heal the Womb mission by spreading the word within your social networks. Assistance in printing and posting fliers in women's centers, cafes, beauty parlors, spas, yoga centers/schools, women's nonprofits, gyms, day care centers, health and prenatal centers, women’s legal service providers, and anywhere you think women could benefit or be of service to this event would be so helpful. If you know someone in the media who would like to publicize the workshop or a benefactor who might like to sponsor the workshop, please be in touch with us as well. We greatly appreciate your help in sharing this information so that more women can participate in and donate to the February 8th cause!

Healing the Womb Benefit Workshop for V-Day
New York, NY, January 23, 2009- Be Wild Woman, an organization dedicated to helping women transcend physical, emotional and spiritual wounds of the womb through education and healing, is hosting a Healing the Womb Benefit Workshop to raise funds for V-Day, a global movement to end violence against women. The benefit workshop will be held on Sunday, February 8th, 2009, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at Nurture New York (1123 Broadway Suite #1205, New York, NY 10010) and will aim to create an experience of safety, nourishment and support for all women who attend.
The evening will consist of a beautiful shamanic, mystery journey led by Be Wild Founder Kiana Love, where women will be able to develop tools for revitalizing their energy system, creating safe space, asking for what they want and need, and feeling good about their bodies. Meditation, yoga, chakra work, ceremony and ritual are all part of the experience, as well as a special heart & womb dance led by healer, Diana Ferrante.
Kiana Love says, "Although these tools are familiar to people, the evening will be unique in that each woman will be going on her own individual journey of empowerment while being supported and celebrated by the group. This is a deep experience of self-love that we are helping women create for themselves and each other. In my own private practice, I have witnessed women open up to all the possibilities in their life, only after creating this personal, safe space for themselves. In this workshop, I will be taking it a step further by fostering a sisterhood that redefines womanhood as powerful."
This event is for women only, though men are invited to show their support by spreading the word, donating, and volunteering. All proceeds will be donated to a V-Day sponsored production of the Vagina Monologues to be held on April 4th at 8pm at the 4th Universalist Society.
Donations start @ $50. To donate & register, please visit: www.bewildwoman.com/angeldonors.html. For more about the Healing the Womb Vision, please visit, www.bewildwoman.com.
Be Wild Woman began with an intention to build a community of wild women committed to reclaiming and integrating all aspects of their inner wildness; from the wild abandon and joy of a child to the ferociousness of a protective mother. Be Wild Woman helps women reclaim their inner wildness and unique voice through healing workshops, women's circles, and celebrations. "We create a supportive space, free of judgment, that fosters community and a sense of belonging for women. A woman reclaiming her innate wildness is magnificent to behold as she unfolds her true potential and beauty." - founder Kiana Love.
Be Wild Woman's primary project for Spring 2009 is The Healing the Womb Project. Its mission is to help women and girls transcend physical, emotional, and spiritual wounds of the womb through education and healing. As women address their grief, anger, pain and fear, they will be reclaiming their wombs, and the power, creativity, sexuality, self worth, and joy, intrinsic to their nature. Healing experienced individually will extend out to the community, building a strong, nurturing foundation that can support and empower all women.
The goal of the mission is to partner with local organizations, such as shelters and cancer centers, to make this work available to women in need. On May 2nd, Be Wild Woman will be hosting a Healing the Womb Women's Celebration in New York City. This FREE day-long event will foster awareness, community and celebration for women, through yoga, art, performances, lectures, dance, ceremonies, music, healing womb stories, & poetry. Be Wild Woman invites all women to unite on this day to experience the joy of their own magnificent journey while being celebrated by a community of extraordinary women.
